Team competition results

Team competition was tight with a winning score of 88 points followed by 4 teams on 87 points. Prizes to the value of over £1,250 given to amateur players including 1st, 2nd, 3rd and additional prizes of  He Swings hats to the two teams in 4th and 5th on 87 points. 

over £3,300 prize fund distributed to the first 10 players. Another tight affair with Rob Harris (Lincoln GC) coming out on top with 41 points, closely follwed by Matthew Tottey (North Wales GC) and Phil Kelly (PK golf) both on 40 points.

Despite heavy rain prior to the event the course was in excellent condition. Westhoughton members, including Lady President, volunteered to act as marshals on the course. Thank you to the green staff and volunteers.

Staff at Westhoughton were welcoming and very helpful with lots of staff available to provide prompt service. 

Food was excellent - Bacon barms, tea and coffee available from 8am until 230pm. 

BBQ started at 1230pm and ran until 730pm.

Over 60 players stayed for the presentation at 8pm with several pints consumed and high spirits throughout.
